Business Strategies to OperateItRight

Business Strategies to OperateItRight

The OperateItRight Philosophy is if you operate your business right you’ll generate continuous revenue which will make it possible to enjoy life.

Operating your business right begins with that first thought of the business. You want to start by…

Decide On A Tactic

  • Start by accessing your personality and skills to determine if you have what it takes to succeed in business. Will you be able to work for yourself and actually get the work done if no one is around to make you work? Are you determined to succeed? Can you solve any problem?
  • Then decide what would make your business the ideal business for you. Think about how you’ll utilize your skills and the resources available to you to construct a business that will be able to sustain your lifestyle. What hours will you work? What will you sell? Who’ll buy what you are going to sell? Who’s already selling it? How will you compete?

Create A Vision & Goals

  • Now that you’ve developed a tactic, you need to decide on actually what you want to achieve. What do you want your business to become? What will success look like? How much revenue do you want to generate? How will you know when you’ve reached success?
  • Then you want to take a look at your behaviors and habits, and make note of what you have to improve on to achieve the success you want. How will you detour the stress and overwhelm when things start heating up? How will you stay focused and abate procrastination?

Build Your Store

  • Now that you know what you want, it’s time to decide how you are going to generate revenue. What are you going to sell? Are you going to offer a service, sell advertising space, sell products, or a combination of each?
  • Now that you have a plan in place and know what you are going to sell, it’s time to create your Web site. Just register a domain name, purchase web hosting and design a Web site.

Generate Revenue

  • The next step is the one most people find the most difficult. Promoting your Web site. Even though it’s a simple task, it’s a continuous task. That’s the part most people find difficult. A few easy strategies to use are press releases, articles, direct mail and networking.
  • Once you have people coming to your Web site, you want to collect their contact information. It’s as easy as giving away a free report or eCourse in exchange for their name and email address. If you are going to do direct mail, you may want to collect their mailing address as well.
  • Now that you have their email address, you want to keep in touch with them. Start by sending regular email that educates them on how you can help them.
  • Then progress to asking them to buy what you offer. The thing to remember is your emails must be regular in order for you to build a relationship, and every email shouldn’t be selling something or be about you.

Leverage Your Resources

  • The reason you want to operate your business right is so you can enjoy your life. The only way you can enjoy your life and operate a business is if you systemize and automate your business. You should have a system in place for everything you do. A system is real easy to create. Start by documenting what you are doing now and how you are doing it. Then tweak it so that you are taking advantage of the time you have.
  • Just as you want to systemize and automate your tasks, you also want to outsource as much as you can. The easiest way to decide what to outsource is to take a look at what you do in a day, then decide if it’s something you have to do. If it is not, then outsource to someone else.

Measure & Enjoy Your Results

  • Do what you do to have fun. Spend time with family and friends, travel, shop.
