Tactics to Make Your Consultations Pay

Tactics to Make Your Consultations Pay

Free consultations are the perfect way to ignite interest in what you do, showcase your expertise, clearly explain what you do and why it should be purchased. Free consultations are also a great way to alleviate reservations and turn resistance into paying clients.

Free consultations are time consuming so here are a few tactics to make them pay…

  • Make sure your consultation is scheduled with the person who will make the decision to buy what you are selling and is willing to make the purchase once you’ve shown what you are going to help them achieve.
  • Take the time to build a rapport with the potential client.
  • Help potential clients imagine themselves using your services by walking them through the process of what you help them achieve. Ask enough questions to make sure that learn what their problems are, then show that you understand those problems and are the only solution to solve them.
  • Take a moment to answer any and all questions that your potential client has about your company, how you work, your communication methods, and what they are looking to achieve.
  • Most importantly, ask for the sale. Once you see/hear that the potential client is please with what you’ve shown them and they are interested in what you are to help them achieve, ask for the sale.

Free consultations will pay big time when you use that time to educate the potential client on how you can help them solve their problem and achieve their desired results.

  1. Hi Beryl! I do free (complimentary) consultations with potential clients who are interested in my approach to health and wellness. The consultation gives both of us a chance to see how we might work together and decide if we are a fit. Indeed, closing the deal is crucial to success. Tracking my success rate has helped me to evaluate my methods effectively. Thanks for this. You are right on point!

    Hi Beryl,
I also do free consultations. I figure if I can get them on the phone, then I certainly have a new client.

It also helps for the potential client to get a feel for what sort of personality you have and how you conduct yourself over the phone. I think also it helps to put their minds at ease by learning a little bit about my services, my company and what sort of person I am all around. It allows us to cover so many details which in turn helps them to make the decision of hiring me.

Free consultations are a great way to convert potential clients into future clients for sure! Thanks for such great information.

Happy Labor Day and make it a fabulous day!

    Deb :)
